Being a Birthworker has been life changing and I honour every moment of it.
I'm absolutely obsessed and continuously blown away with the power and Beauty of Birth.
I'm a Mother of two and living in a serene part of the U.K. Devon, a place I call home. I was raised in Hong Kong and spent most of my life in between the U.K and Hong Kong.
My heritage is of Chinese and Polynesian and have always defined myself as a ‘Third culture Kid’ having grown up with various cultures and being from an expatriate Family its given me a deep appreciation for diversity and cultural differences.
Whilst my only fluent language I speak is British English I also have the knowledge of BSL (British Sign language).
I feel I've always had an open heart and a call to nurture. Birth has always fascinated me and after supporting my Deaf Aunt at her Birth and later on having two of my own this gave me more passion to delve into Birth work, to support Mothers with the respect and love they deserve. Thus was my calling to become a Doula.
Birth and Motherhood has always been deeply appreciated in my families’ cultures where rest and nourishment on all levels is a priority, and the capabilities of a Birthing woman is never underestimated, only praised and encouraged to follow your instincts and be guided by our Ancestors.
My aim as a Doula will be to provide non-judgmental individual support that is specific and culturally relevant to you and your preferences during your Birth and postnatal journey.
Hoping to bring empathy and compassion to every client I support whilst honouring our time spent together in this transformational journey.
